PKS Library Welcome to the Prattville Kindergarten School Media Center
I am so excited for this new school year at Prattville Kindergarten School. I would like to encourage parents to read to and with their child every day. I believe that it makes a world of difference. Reading can take you on so many adventures.
READING INCENTIVE PROGRAM Our students are very excited about reading. Each month, students will have the opportunity to take part in a monthly reading challenge. Each student is asked to read and record 20 books. Students that read 20 or more books will be rewarded with a special treat and a certificate. Please read with your child daily. Reading with and to your child has an enormous impact on their academic success. His/her teacher will provide the form to record the books read. Thank you so much for your help and support. Shelf Elf Award Classes that return all of their books on their library day receive a Shelf Elf Award. The class with the most awards receive a popsicle party in December and in May. Please help your child to remember to bring his/her book back on their assigned Library day. Useful Links Copyright for Kids!
Alabama Virtual Library The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama online access to essential library and information resources. It consists of a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research. Through AVL. information resources are readily available to every student and citizen of Alabama.
